MUA professional makeup palette Heaven and Earth

MUA professional makeup palette
Heaven and Earth

I love this palette so much! I can't believe the amount of use I have got out of it and there’s still so much left. A lot of people have been comparing this palette to The Naked Palette, I totally disagree!!! I personally think that The Naked Palette is incomparable. However this palette is amazing. It has beautiful, useable with natural shimmery colours for everyday use. I personally don't use it every day because I don't wear makeup every day and I don't wear eye shadow to school but it is my must have on the weekends. Unlike most eye shadows I don't have many negatives to say about this! The packaging to this palette is so sturdy even though I have dropped it 50 gazillion times. In fact there aren't many scratches on it either which is surprising as I take this everywhere on a weekend. So like I said before I have used this palette many times, not just on me but on friends and family yet I have so much product left. I can't really say that I need to buy another one soon. The product comes with a brush but the brush is worthless and useless! It is what I call a magazine makeup brush. Something not worthy of touching your skin. The great thing about it though it that there is now space for you to put your own brush in it!

Let’s talk about the actual eye shadows now!:) I love them. I agree that you’re not getting the world’s most amazing eye shadow for 4 quid but it is worth the money you pay. The eyeshadows stay on longer than I expected them to. They stay on longer than my Calvin Klein ones do. I always wear eye shadow primer as this helps a ton but some people don’t so. I’m not too sure on the outcome without eye shadow primer. I recommend eye shadow primer so much. Now for such a long time I could not afford The Naked Palette so this was my alternative and once one on my friends actually thought it was The Naked Palette. The colours are very silky and don’t hurt to put on. They stay on for a whole day. (I even have oily eyelids . The colours look amazing when they are on. They blend well. THERE ARE NO MATTE COLOURS IN THIS PALETTE. I really dislike matte colours so it was the perfect palette for me. Now if you love crazy, out there colours then this is so not for you but if you love natural, subtle colours then this is what you need. Another thing I want to mention is that these palettes are only sold in Superdrug’s that sell MUA’s professional line so they are not available in ever Superdrug. They are a bargain for £4 and something I would definitely look into to.

Tips:
  •          Use a primer- The last thing you want is ceased eye shadows.
  •        Use your own brush- The brush the came with it is ****.

Now all you need to do is decide whether to buy it or not! :)

Foundation Review: REVLON PhotoReady

Foundation Review: REVLON PhotoReady
007 Cool Beige
SPF 20/FPS 2030 ml
The Foundation

Handy Pump!
When I first got this foundation I didn't really like it. It was really shimmery, too thick and made my eye’s water/sting. I know that’s a bad start to a review. Soon after I realised I hated this foundation I figured out I was applying it wrong. I put on a crazy amount of foundation. When it comes to Revlon’s PhotoReady there’s one thing to remember, 'a little dab'll do’ya!'. I personally don't recommend using your hands like I did. It got into my eyes and caked and dried out my skin. Use a sponge or a brush. This foundation claims to give you ‘perfected airbrushed skin in any light’ and ‘complete coverage’. It also claims to be ‘oil-free’ and ‘fragrance free’. I agree with the airbrushed skin, complete coverage and fragrance free part. However I don't agree with the ‘oil free’ bit. I have extremely dry skin; in fact I have eczema so I was a bit worried about this oil free claim. Let’s put it this way, there was no need to worry. This foundation made it look like I had oil dripping off my face in the heat. I’d never seen anything like it. I then found a solution to this. I reapplied my powder during the day.

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!

Swatch
Just because this happened to me, it doesn't mean it is definitely going to happen to you. The next thing I want to talk about is the shimmer. It’s noticeable and there is a lot of it! If you are planning to wear a powder on top of the foundation then you will have perfect airbrushed skin along with a dewy finish but if you don't want to wear a powder over this foundation you will look like someone threw a bowl of glitter at you. This foundation also has a pump- which is so handy! This is not a foundation I would wear to school as I find it makes you look ‘made up’. I would recommend this foundation for going out and weekends. It is also costly. Not the type of money you want to spend for school. When I got it from Boots I spent £12.00 on it. I’m not too sure about the price now but it is still similar. All in all I recommend this foundation if you try it in store. Don't make a hasty decision. Try it and maybe sleep on it before purchase. You may find that after 30 minutes of wearing it, it makes you look oily or dry or it’s not your colour.

Tips:
  •         Apply a little at first- This foundation cakes up very easily. (Not a good look!)
  •          Use a brush or sponge- This makes application easier and look better. (I recommend a stippling brush or a foundation brush).
  •         Try to avoid eye area- It made my eyes go red and water continues for 30 minutes after application! (IT HURT!)

Now all you need to do is decide whether to buy it or not! :)

Swatch without any powder on top.
Hopefully you can see the amount of shimmer!
